Early Reflections of a Substitute Teacher

Duval High School
Orange and Black.
Who'd think after 5 years
I'd be coming back?
Not to learn so much as teach,
Substituting from 7th English
To 9th grade Speech.
Biology degree, so far, unused,
But one day this time will be excused.
When I have my own class (in NC, I hope)
I'll teach Biology (and theatre, if I can cope).
